The current build.
One installer. Run it on a fresh machine and it installs; run it over an older Minuteman and it updates, and your shop’s data is left exactly where it is.
Already running Minuteman? Run this over the top: it stops the board, replaces the program and leaves your shop’s data where it is. On a board from 0.1.9.0 on, you never need this page — press Update now in the gold banner and the board does it all itself.
New here? Your licence key arrives by email when you buy, from support@minutemanshopcontrol.com, and every update after that comes the same way. Lost it? Write to that address from the email you bought with.
Licence
Your licence key.
It arrives in the same email as your download link. Paste it in Settings → Licence, restart the board, and the shop’s name is on it — the key is read once, at startup.
One key covers up to two computers at your shop. The tablets and front-desk screens that open the board in a browser are not installs and do not count.
Replacing a PC? Lost the key? One email to support@minutemanshopcontrol.com from the address you bought with, and we’ll sort it in a minute.
Updating
Installing an update.
- Press Update now in the gold banner at the top of the board (or on the Updates card in Settings). The board downloads the new version, checks it, installs it and comes back on its own. That is the whole procedure.
- No banner, or a board older than 0.1.9.0? Press the download button at the top of this page and run the file. It stops the running board itself, replaces the program, and opens the new one when it finishes. You do not need to close anything first, and it never asks for an administrator.
- Done. Your version is on the Updates card in Settings.
Your jobs, settings, history and backups live in a different folder than the program. An update replaces the program and never touches your data.
The first time you run a new installer, Windows SmartScreen may say it does not recognise the file — the file is new to it. Click More info, then Run anyway.
First day
Setting up a shop.
Five things, in order. The board works the moment the second one is done; the rest make it trustworthy.
- In CCC ONE, turn the EMS export on and point it at a folder — it is in CCC’s settings under EMS / data export.
- Point Minuteman at that folder: Settings → “Where CCC drops its estimates” → Browse, save, and restart when it asks. Minuteman only ever reads that folder.
- Point backups at a folder that is not this computer — a network share or a synced folder.
- Opening the board to other computers in the shop? The first time the board answers the network, Windows Firewall asks whether to allow it. Say yes.
- After pasting a licence key, restart the board — the licence is read once, at startup.
