Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This policy is published by Minuteman Systems LLC, Pennsylvania, USA. Questions: hello@minutemanshopcontrol.com.

2. The Software

Minuteman Shop Control runs entirely on your computer. It does not send your repair orders, estimates, technicians, parts, customer names, vehicle information or anything else about your shop's work to Minuteman Systems LLC or to anyone. Your data is stored in a folder on your computer that you control and can back up, move or delete at any time.

The Software does make two narrow connections to us, and we want you to know exactly what they are. When you enter your licence key, and about once a week after that, it contacts Minuteman Systems to check the key is still in good standing and to count the computers it is on (the licence allows two). That request carries three things: the licence id, a hashed machine identifier and the program version — nothing about your jobs, your cars or your people, and the hash cannot be turned back into anything about your computer. Separately, if the update check is switched on in Settings, the Software asks our website about once a day whether a newer version exists. That is the complete list. The Software contains no analytics, no crash reporting and no telemetry.

If you turn on the option that lets other devices at your shop open the board, the Software serves the board over your shop's local network only. It is your responsibility to keep that network private.

3. This website

minutemanshopcontrol.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, carries no ads and no tracking pixels, and nothing about you is sold to anybody. The only measurement is Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-first page counter that records which pages are read and nothing that identifies you. If you open the Merch store or the checkout, you leave this site and go to the provider named below.

4. What we do collect, and why

• When you buy. Checkout is run by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the sale, calculate tax and issue your receipt, under Paddle's Privacy Policy. Paddle shares your name, email and purchase details with us so we can deliver your licence and support you. We never see your card number.
• When you email us. We keep your message and our reply so we can help you, and so we have a record of what was said.
• Merch. The store at minutemanshopcontrol.printful.me is operated by Printful, Inc., which collects your order and shipping details under its own privacy policy.

We use this information only to sell you the Software, deliver it, support it, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who we share it with

Only the providers named above (Paddle, Printful), our email provider, and anyone the law requires us to share it with. Nobody else.

6. How long we keep it

Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires (in Pennsylvania, generally seven years). Support emails are kept as long as they are useful for supporting you. You can ask us to delete anything we hold that we are not legally required to keep.

7. Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@minutemanshopcontrol.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants you additional rights (for example the EU, UK or California), you have those rights too.

8. Children

Our products are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not weaken the promise in section 2 without telling you plainly before it takes effect.
